Update on my Earn-to-Upgrade Journey – On a winning streak

This is the 4th week of the Earn-to-Upgrade programme. I have earlier completed the course for this week which focuses on using creative and critical thinking to solve problems, and I excelled in the assessment on Alison.
However, one thing was still left on the table – the 4th week’s side quest. First, the side quest was a double task requiring each cohort to do the following;

1. Pitch yourself on a loom video, using your optimized LinkedIn profile and

2. Download a job application tracker, apply for and log at least one job on the spreadsheet.

My major challenge in completing the first part of this side quest was finding a noiseless background to record the loom video, with my office is facing a major road and with moving vehicles, I could not record the video there without capturing the loud noises in the background. I tried several times and failed at it, so I decided to apply what I have learnt; my problem solving skills surfaced, I found a solution to this challenge and voila, we have a loom video. I went on to complete the second part of the side quest and with that, I can say that I am on a winning streak.

Among everything I achieved this week, I am most happy that I am able to efficiently manage my tight physical schedule and the virtual one. Another thing that I am happy about is my level of proactiveness in completing my course and tasks, and the top notch organizational skills I apply in keeping my learning records.
